Hefty Salaries Have Not Produced the Academic Improvement Necessary at the Minneapolis Public Schools

There are seven key people in the design and implementation of the academic program at the Minneapolis Pubic Schools;  there is also one person (Maggie Sullivan) who is in the very difficult position of attempting to get the necessary performance from woefully ill-trained and inadequate teachers.  In my Understanding the Minneapolis Public Schools:  Current Condition, Future Prospect, I give extensive coverage to the depth of academic failure in this school district and an analysis of the failures of particular individuals.

Here are the individuals most responsible for designing and implementing the academic program and, in Ms. Sullivan’s case, for providing teacher quality:

Superintendent Ed Graff                              $225,000
