New Leaders of the Minneapolis Public Schools, September 2024 >>>>> Typically Slim Academic Credentials

New Leaders at the Minneapolis Public Schools, September 2024

Presented at the 10 September meeting of the Minneapolis Public Schools Board of Education >>>>>

The following new leaders were presented at the 10 September meeting of the Minneapolis Public Schools Board of Education.

As I have detailed in the case of new Davis Center staff, the academic qualifications of Tia Classen and Ty Thompson are typically slim for public school officials;  they possess no graduate degree in a main academic discipline (e.g., physics, mathematics, history, economics, government, or literature).  A brief check, which I will confirm with further research, indicates that this circumstance is also true, as usual, for principals and assistant principals.

This is a major region why we get such abominable academic results year after year, not only in terms of basic skills but also in terms of knowledge in key subject areas.
