If You Say That You Do Not LIke the Government, Then Look in the Mirror >>>>> In a Democracy, You Are the Government

Thanks so much to all of you, my readers and philanthropic stalwarts, for your continued readership and support.

I think about you and my other firm supporters every day my feet hit the ground.

You and I are acting where action matters the most in K-12 education, at the local level.

In the debacle that was the presidential and many other electoral outcomes on 8 November, Minnesota was closer than expected, but we pulled through, unlike those Wisconsin renegades;  Virginia was also too close for easy breathing, but kudos to that state where the Civil War came to a close at Appomattox Courthouse in Richmond.  Those of you in Washington, Oregon, and California;  in Colorado and New Mexico;  and in the Northeast certainly pulled your weight (although you in New Hampshire straddled the fence for way too long).

Bottom line, though, we survived Reagan and George W. Bush, so we'll survive this one.

Do see Peter Sellers's turn as Chauncy Gardener in the film, Being There:

We've had many splendid intellects in the presidency, but we've also had our share of fools.

For my part, I have in any case been in a local action mode for a long time:

I tell people who say they don't like the government that they must be staring in the mirror, not liking what they see:

In a democracy, citizens are the government.

And in terms of my obsession--- K-12 education--- nothing but money comes from the national and state levels anyway. All national and state policy gets obliterated with each change of administration and legislative configuration, so with our mania for local control all meaningful action in K-12 education ensues at the local level.

And thus do you have one Gary Marvin Davison, with the support of all of your wonderful folks, serving students and families directly and going to the podiums on a television show, blog, school board meetings, newspaper opinion pieces, and anywhere else that people gather to watch, listen, or read.

And we're doing this thing---

Thanks again for your support---

Love & Peace--- Gary
