Proficiency Rates
MPS High Schools
(Unconventional)
There are twelve (12) schools in the Minneapolis
Public Schools that serve high school students.
Seven of these schools are conventional high
schools, while the other five are unconventional:
FAIR is a magnet school emphasizing the visual and
musical arts. Heritage features a
primarily Somali student population.
Wellstone International features a majority
Hispanic/Latina/Latino student population with a substantial Somali population,
as well.
Longfellow is an alternative school under the
administrative aegis of the Minneapolis Public Schools (differentiated in that
respect from the contract alternative schools featured in article #4).
There is also an online option for high school
student.
