Introductory Comments
In this May 2022 edition of Journal of the K-12
Revolution: Essays and Research from
Minneapolis, Minnesota, readers will find profiles for the 41 elementary,
12 middle schools, 14 high schools, nine (9) alternative schools, and seven (7)
programs in the Minneapolis Public Schools.
High school profiles include seven (7) smaller, specialized high
schools, in addition to the seven conventional high schools of Edison, Henry,
North, Roosevelt, South, Southwest, and Washburn.
Readers should be attentive to geographic location,
demographic composition, and academic performance for school years ending in
2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021, as well as to the descriptions of
alternative schools and specialized programs.
