Article #2 In a Series >>>>> Deceptive and Inadequate Responses of the Minneapolis Public Schools Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams Administration to Data Requests and Failure to Properly Present Public Information on the MPS Website

The Deceptive Minneapolis Public Schools Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams Administration Continues Failure to Provide Public Data Forthrightly Within Reasonable Time Frames

Several months back my readers were witness to the deceptive claims made by the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) administration of Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams as to staff reductions  at the Davis Center (MPS Central Offices, 1250 West Broadway).  The administration made various claims in documents presented at meetings of the MPS Board of Education, ranging from 11.74% to 14.22% before finally deciding on 13.78%.

But all of those figures were deceptive, referring not to actual staff cuts but to reductions in positions allotted to the Davis Center.  A certain drama in claims continued from April 2025 through September 2025;  by the later date, only 2% of staff had been cut between April 2025, when there were 584 staff members working at the Davis Center, and September, when staff members working at the Davis Center totaled 574.

………………………………………………………………………………………………

During that time, Data Requests personnel Kimberly Haynes, Karina Magistad, and General Counsel Jamie Jonassen were put in an awkward position in trying to provide credible data as the Lisa Sayles-Adams administration attempted in vain to reconcile the varying and deceptive claims.

Now such a temporal juncture has again arrived, as the Sayles-Adams administration is too incompetent, too disinterested, or too fraudulent to respond to the following Data Requests that I have made at the indicated times >>>>>
