Minneapolis Public Schools Davis Center (Central Office) Staff by

Position and Salary

This edition of Journal of the K-12 Revolution:  Essays and Research from Minneapolis, Minnesota features information pertinent to staff salaries for those who occupy positions at the Minneapolis Public Schools Davis Center (central offices) as of July 2025.

Staff members total 542 in July 2025, down from 584 in May 2025, a 7.2% reduction.  Remuneration, though, was up in July 2025, from $48,341,612 in May 2025 to $48,864,041 in July 2025, constituting a 1% increase in expenditure for salaries.

Median annual salary at the Davis Center is $85,372, up from $83,291 on 13 May 2025 and from $81,259 on 14 April 2025.

For readers who have followed my articles on deceptive claims of staff reductions at the Minneapolis Public Schools, be reminded that in the Lisa Sayles-Adams administration issued conflicting claims of staff reductions during spring 2025, ranging from 11.74% to 13.8% to 14.22%.

Further, while the language used suggested the given figures pertained to staff reductions, as in people occupying positions, the !3.8% figure upon which the administration eventually settled was based on reduction in FTE (full-time equivalencies), rather than actual staff position reductions.

And even those figures were not based on FTEs filled by employees but rather FTE assigned to the Davis Center if all positions were filled.  This allowed the administration to claim a higher percentage reduction than was actually the case.  As of 13 May 2025, there had been only a one employee-filled FTE reduction from the figure given for 14 April 2025 (from 603 employee-filled FTE to 602 employee-filled FTE).

Ultimately, figures did reveal the 7.2% reduction in Davis center staff actually occupying positions (people, rather than FTE).

The confusion in clearly indicating Davis Center staff reductions from spring into summer 2025 strongly suggests an administration led by Lisa Sayle-Adams that is unable either to communicate clearly or to avoid a decided appearance of deception.

In any case, readers of this journal always get clear information, upon which they may compare the information given herein with that provided in previous editions of Journal of the K-12 Revolution:  Essays and Research from Minneapolis, Minnesota and on my other platforms, including my blog at
