As I prepare the second edition of Understanding the Minneapolis Public Schools:  Current Condition, Future Prospect, I am conducting an update for a second presentation of the 350-page section (Part One:  Facts), providing strictly objective, factual information on the Minneapolis Public Schools.

For the benefit of my readers, I now begin an advanced presentation of vitally important factual information on the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) in academic year 2022-2023. 

This article presents a greatly revamped staff membership at the erstwhile MPS Department of Teaching and Learning, now renamed the Department of Core Academics and Instruction to underscore the emphasis placed on knowledge-intensive, skill-replete curriculum and the training of teachers capable of imparting such a curriculum under the leadership of Interim Superintendent Rochelle Cox and her Senor Academic Officer, Aimee Fearing.
