The Hopelessness of Current Conditions at the Minneapolis Public Schools
Current conditions at the Minneapolis Public Schools are wretched.
Most instrumentally, teaching at the median is woeful and curriculum as actually delivered is knowledge-deficient.
These issues are never addressed by a Board of Education whose members are variously ignorant, in denial, or outright corrupt in the sense of knowing that the issues of teacher quality and curriculum as actually delivered persist without response.
The Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams administration has taken no leadership in addressing the academic conditions of the Minneapolis Public Schools.
And in multiple ways the Sayles-Adams administration has created unnecessary distractions and engaged in shameful innuendo in an attempt to shift the blame for the present financial condition of the district, which faces a $40 million budget deficit.
